I was hospitalized here back in 2012. Insurance covered 5 days however upon agreeing to go I was Told I'd only be there for 3. Guess they kept me until money was out. I was placed on 3 medications which helped me. The staff was okay, caring and actually took time to talk and even play cards with us. Room was clean and my room mate was awesome. I developed friendships that carried over. The food was okay. I was underweight when I went in do to depression they gave new ensure shakes to help while I was there, 3 a day. The psychiatrist sees you once a day for 10 min, not even making Eye contact or caring. I cried often cause I missed my kids. I had a newborn and wss dealing with Post partum depression. All in all tho, great experience.

My experience was wonderful. The staff was very kind and actually cares about your behavioral state. Before prescribing me medication, I spoke with several people who then got together to choose the right medication for me. I was always scared that institutions would just give you anything but here, they actually prescribe what is best for you. This facility is clean and does NOT treat you as a prisoner. I was very nervous when I first arrived because I didn't know what to expect and this was my first time being admitted to a mental institution. There was a mixup regarding the medications that I was taking at home. Before you arrive (if you're able) please make sure that the pharmacy that you use for any medication has the correct dosage and schedule listed. Doing this will ensure that all you're prior medication is still given to you. I would recommend this location to anyone that needs help. The food is also great here!!

They gave me a stress ball and I still have it they also gave me a journal and I still use it they taught me a lot of coping skills and still use them now and I stayed there 2 months ago I made friends there to and they had things for you to do during the day they has activity's like gym and art they also had books but you can also bring your own you get nap time to and a room mate which me and mine were friends and they helped me get settled in I recommend this to you.

MOST of the staff legitimately cared about our well being. You get to smoke cigarettes, which is an incredible rarity among mental health facilities. Myself and everyone on my unit highly enjoyed the food. All in all, I came out much better when I went on. Shout out to David, Anthony, Brittany, Melissa, Dr. Art and especially Norman. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of psychiatric care.

There were faults, obviously. Sometimes you feel as though the staff doesn't care, but with the time I spent rhere and the open mind I gave it, I could see they were doing their jobs. a lot people seem to leave unhappy, I think it's because they leave too soon. I believe they have care plans and those plans have to reach the end goal for them to be significant, most just want out. It was very clean. Miscommunication between levels of staff were rhe biggest issues. You can tell the money people should talk to the workers in the rooms and listen to their ideas FAR MORE OFTEN. I guarantee miss bigwig is more easily replaced. It's a miracle the staff keeps things as smooth as they are. Two weeks I spent there and I basically had to be dragged out. The staff is amazing, the food is usually excellent (catfish? Fried chocken? Ruebens? Thry had goulash for Gods sake lol and usually dofferent options for food! With a damn salas bar!) and after two weeks I'm more centered and in control of myself than I've ever been. Cant wait to see how my future goes. I will say some upper management, most likely the money guys, seem cold and uncaring. As I left some suit told staff that it was policy to not have hoodies. I got angry, asked how in the hell people would be able to go outside in November without their hoodies. No response.. asked louder, she ignored me and repeated herself to staff. I could imagine her thinking "uh.. one of "them" is addressing me, someone please like, deal with it? Help? Wheres the help? Do yoir job and shut him up" Patients and staff had the idea to cut the hoods off, the suit showed no emotion on the subject and offered no solution. You could see the pain in Dashon and Hannahs faces knowing they had to enforce that rule. Even though it happened in front of them, patients got annoyed with staff. I reminded them it wasn't staffs fault and they understood, but seeing Dashon struggle with communicating with a girl who barely knew English and seeing the worry and stress in his face? Pain even, he was offered no solution. It broke my heart. They had to tell patients they had to freeze. You don't get to pick out your clothes usually before you leave to in house psychiatric care. what in God's name? I shouldn't feel bad for the workers. I doubt they get paid for the good they do. The staff are angels in my opinion, even when they're assholes. They rarely lose ther cool. I wish i could list them all but name one and I'd tell you they're amazing regardless. Special shout out to Anthony. He was there for me first and gentle and kind while I settled in. Infinite patience. Spends his own money on patients, and works them like magic, he has a gift for sure. Seriously not trying to cut anyone out but I'd go on for another 1000 characters, you all were awesome. And "Matthew" and other therrapists seem extremely phony at first but they have to communicate with all kinds of disabilities and don't know what to expet from you. By the end, I was convinced M was a damn genius, even if he still seemed to try just a little bit too hard. He hit some notes with me, that's not a common thing. I didn't spend as much time talking to him as I would have liked, but I dare not judge the workings of a therapist. The unit I was in was so varied in disabilities, it was chaos but they handled it well. Again, special shout out to the staff. They deal with terrifying situations with such grace and little appreciation. This isn't a weird attachment I've gaoned, ive just seen a lot I couldn't handle, most humbling experience in my life. Seeing beautiful "Miss D" wipe down mess after mess that could have easily been avoided with the same warm smile and "no problem, I'll get you another coffee even though I just walked out of the kitchen, put on gloves and started scrubbing the table@" not even a sarcastic fake annoying smile, but you usually feel like they enjoy being there... mostly... if they get annoyed you deserve it or it was a misunderstanding, heh. As you can see, options was a major deal for me. Try it, you might be surprised.

I got a lot of help here. Yeah the food was gross and it took me more then once to get the help I needed. But isn't that what it takes? Not giving up? Not throwing your life away because you feel there is no cure for yourself? I got the help I needed and I hope anyone that needs help goes here... the staff there were amazing and I miss them bunches.. I don't know where I'd be if I never went there.. actually I do.. I'd be dead... so thank you options for the great journey I had while getting treatment.. and thanks to the doctors I found my disorders, and as for the staff big hugs because no matter how much bad stuff happened there you never held grudges.. and plus listening and dancing to the radio was pretty lit 😂.
